Andy LeCompte tells how he dressed Madonna's hair for the Golden Globes.

Los Angeles Times gave us in interesting eye on Madonna’s easy, beachy waves last night at the Golden Globes ceremony. The newspaper talked with Madonna's long-time hair dresser Andy LeCompte, who dressed her hair for the Golden Globes as well.

“She wanted easy, natural texture,” says Andy LeCompte. He started by rough drying the hair, manipulating and emphasizing her natural texture. He applied a mist of Wella Thermal Heat Protection spray to protect the hair from heat as well as add even more texture. For the loose waves, LeCompte used his Phi platform 1-inch flat iron to make soft, “s” formations throughout the hair. Finally, to create some piecey-ness, he used a mist of Wella’s Ocean Spritz to break up the waves and give the hair an overall tousled, relaxed look.
