Amazing George Holy Outtake! Just Fantastic!

The Queen Leaves London For NYC Friday Jan 29/10!

Ready to head back to the States, Madonna was spotted catching a flight from London’s Heathrow Airport en route to New York City on Friday (January 29).Prior to jetting off, the Material Girl spent the previous evening enjoying an intimate meal with friends at Locanda Locatelli restaurant.Meanwhile, Madge was just recently named to a decade’s best list for her MTV Video Music Awards liplock with Britney Spears in 2003.On the Best Kiss of the Decade poll, Tobey Maguire puckering up with Kirsten Dunst in “Spider-Man” came in second while Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal’s “Brokeback Mountain” action was named third.

Madonna On Slant's Best Of Singles List..

36. Madonna, “Hung Up”“Hung Up” employs a ticking clock to represent fear of wasted time, but Madonna isn’t singing about aging or saving the world—she’s talking about love. It had been years since Madge sounded this vapid. With its pitched-upward vocals, infectious arpeggio sample from ABBA’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight),” and the bridge’s unironic, archetypical key change, the track decidedly points to the past, and it proved that, 20 years into her career, Madonna was still the one and only Dancing Queen. SC

33. Madonna, “Don’t Tell Me”Madonna’s Y2K-era dalliances with electronica could oftentimes verge on the theoretical, so it’s a tad ironic that the one hit from her Orbit-Mirwais daze that still packs fully loaded pistols is also the most engrossed in chemistry-set beat science. “Don’t Tell Me” is first and foremost a concoction: two parts corn pone, one part glitch, with reliable disco strings to serve as the catalyst. What seals the deal, though, is that lyrically Madonna’s on board too. Tell the peanut butter of acoustic guitars to stay away from the chocolate of digital bass drones, but don’t tell Madonna she can’t eat both and spit back manna. EH

25. Madonna, “Music”From its generic title to Madonna’s anonymous vocal performance, “Music” is a blank slate of a song. To wit, the song has had almost as many makeovers as Madonna herself. Okay, so not quite that many, but each of the performer’s tours during the last decade has featured a new incarnation of the song: Kraftwerk-inspired electronica, ’70s disco, and most recently, ’80s hip-hop (the next logical embodiment would be ’90s house). If music truly is a universal language, then “Music”—in all of its meta reinventions and retro dialects—might be the best piece of evidence we have that music really does make the people come together. Madonna "Glee" Episode News!

Wanna know the best time to hit up a TV producer for spoilers? Take it from me, it’s when they smell a Golden Globe coming. Read on and feast on the scoopapalooza Ryan Murphy gave me just minutes before Glee’s big victory last night… The upcoming Madonna episode deserves to be called “very special.” “It’s big… huge. We’re shooting it now. It’s got like 10 numbers in it, and the production value is very big. We adore her and worship her, so when I’m directing, I’m always like, ‘Do it for Madonna.’” (Ed. note: Murphy wouldn’t say which Madge tune Jane Lynch’s Sue would be doing, but I can confirm that it’s “Vogue.”)

Madonna's School Coming Up Fast In Malawi!

Lilongwe (Malawi), Jan 10, 2010The white placard is rather nondescript, but it marks a unique construction site on the rolling meadows outside Malawian capital Lilongwe – a school being built by pop star Madonna who has adopted two children from the country.
The small southern African state, with a population of 13.5 million, had first seen an influx of tabloid journalists jetting into its small airport in 2006, when Madonna adopted a Malawian boy, David Banda. She already has two biological children, Lourdes and Rocco.
Last year, she adopted another Malawian child, a girl this time, Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James. But both times she had run into initial legal troubles, as both the children had one living parent, despite being brought up in an orphanage.
There is a Malawian provision that the future parent had to live in the country for a period of time. However, most of the laws were waived, with the Supreme Court of Appeals ruling in her favour. As a thanksgiving, Madonna started a charity organisation, Raising Malawi, for the development of children.
In fact, Malawi has a large population of orphans, estimated to be around two million. Nearly one-fourth have one or both parents who have perished from AIDS.
Madonna and her four children had come down to Malawi for the ground-breaking ceremony for the $15-million school in October 2009. The hostel will be for 500 girls selected from all districts of the country, which has a GDP per capita of just $541.
The site for the school is just off the road from Kamuzu international airport to Lilongwe.
When a visiting IANS correspondent went to the site, a dirt road led along the white board which is just written with the words – “Project Site for Raising Malawi Academy for Girls”. The road was clearly being used by heavy construction equipment making their way to the actual construction site.
The rolling greens was scarred by strips of red earth, with a yellow bulldozer at work, piling soil on to the back of waiting white trucks. There were around four to five trucks waiting or moving around, though there were no physical structures yet.
The academy is set to be operational in two years. Incidentally, the orphanages from where the children had been adopted have also benefited from the increased attention, receiving lots of foreign funding.
Most Malawians are quite positive about Madonna’s adoption. According to Kush Mittal, an Indian businessman living in Lilongwe, there was not much opposition to the American pop star taking two Malawian children into her family, though there were dissenting voices. “It was generally thought that the children would get a better life,” Mittal told IANS.
Thirty-year-old Nero Banda, who worked in the hospitality industry, also had no qualms about Madonna’s adoption. “We appreciate it. They (children) would have remained poor here. But now, it will be different,” he said, gesticulating with his hand.
“The people who were criticising were the rich people whose children were going to foreign schools,” he added.

Roma People To Give Madonna A Gold Plaque!

The self-proclaimed king of the Roma said Tuesday he wants to give Madonna a gold plaque to thank the singer for criticizing discrimination against his people.

Madonna performed in Bucharest in August as part of her “Sticky and Sweet” tour, and at the concert said she was “very sad” because of the “discrimination against Romas and Gypsies in general in eastern Europe”.

Self-declared king Florin Cioaba said the Roma wanted to show their appreciation for the US star’s gesture.

“Madonna deserves great credit. She drew the whole world’s attention to discrimination against the Roma,” Cioaba told journalists in the central Romanian town of Sibiu.

The plaque has been ordered from a jeweler in Italy and will be made from 24-carat gold, the Romanian news agency Mediafax reported.

Romania has one of Europe’s largest communities of Roma, an ethnic minority believed to originate from the Indian subcontinent often referred to as Gypsies.

Discrimination against the group in Romania continues: a survey last September found that seven out of 10 Romanians would not want a Roma to be part of their family, and Madonna was jeered by the crowd when she made her remarks at the concert.

Last year Amnesty International criticised the Romanian authorities’ lack of action to tackle discrimination against Roma, a problem it said was “widespread and deeply ingrained in (people’s) minds.”

Madonna - 2nd Most Charitable Star Of 2009!

#2, Madonna

Charity: Raising Malawi
Annual Impact: $5,540,068

After co-founding Raising Malawi in 2006 to aid the nation’s two million orphans, Madonna has become one of the most hands-on philanthropic celebrities. She had to go through a fair bit of legal wrangling, but the pop star eventually adopted two Malawian children, Mercy and David. Of course, the coverage and controversy sparked by the adoptions generated significant press, as she and the charity were mentioned in over 600 newspaper or magazine articles in the last 24 months. The organization focuses on providing basic needs for children including nutrition, education, health care, and clothing, and to kick-start donations Madonna has vowed to match every dollar donated to the organization out of her own pocket.

Breakdown: TV ($455,568), Print ($4,897,500), Internet ($187,000), Personal donations (undisclosed)
