The Queen of Pop, Madonna, takes to the streets of Florence in the new video for ‘Turn Up The Radio’, keeping the paparazzi at bay and driving away on the back seat of a convertible. With the MDNA tour underway, this is sure to become a euphoric anthem of the Summer.
With Martin Solveig back behind the production desk, we knew that the new single by Madonna, lifted from her current MDNA album, was going to be another slice of dance pop. The track truly channels the sense of euphoria that the clubs of today are looking for. The video, reportedly shot by Tom Munro who also directed ‘Give It 2 Me’, captures the good vibes, not by having her thrust around in short shorts, no, but by having Madonna raising her hands up high and singing to the fans as she drives around Florence. The sepia colours of the clip accentuate the goodtime Summer feelings as well as the retro tinged stylings of Madonna, herself.
Of course, there are still a few essential elements that make this a true Madonna video; picking up hot guys as she rocks through the streets, slipping money into the bras of prostitutes and some rather tempting bottom touching. Standard.
