Now that’s the way to salute the Queen of Pop! BurJuman is getting ready to present the Simply Madonna exhibition, leading up to Her Madgesty’s arrival in the UAE in June. Featuring an exclusive collection of outfits, iconic jewellery, concert tour costumes, film props, photographs, awards and personal items that celebrate Madonna’s 25-year-long career, it’s definitely worth a visit.
The exhibition makes its Middle Eastern debut from May 24 to June 6, and will offer fans a chance to get a first hand view of the superstar’s signature style that launched trends and created a following across the world. Iconic outfits including the Marilyn Monroesque pink Material Girl gown, the infamous Open Your Heart black satin bustier, outfits from Madonna’s portrayal of Eva Perón in the multi-Oscar winning Evita and the Who’s That Girl tour gloves will be on display during the exhibition.
Other standout exhibits include the famous gold and emerald cross, various music awards as well as a series of rarely seen items from the music legend’s personal life – including a signed AmEx card, the cancellation of a post-marital agreement with Sean Penn, a hand-written Valentine’s Day letter, school yearbook, film contracts and daily planner that gives fans a fabulous peak into Madge’s personal world.
Visitors to the exhibition have a chance to win Golden Circle tickets to Madonna’s Abu Dhabi concerts on 3 June and 4 June. A prized merchandise item autographed by Madge herself will also be up for grabs!
