Madonna debuts a new, fast-fashion junior collection exclusively at Macy's this August called "Material Girl," and the Material Mom tells ET that her daughter Lourdes serves as her muse for the collection!

"I've used fashion to make statements through my work all my life and now I have a 13-year-old daughter who's obsessed with fashion, so it seems like the natural progression of my life," she says. "If you're a Material Girl, you're a girl with a sense of humor."

The Material Girl collection consists of edgy apparel, footwear, handbags and jewelry, all inspired by music and much of Madonna's early fashions, with plenty of studs, layering and lace -- and even a bustier.

"I trust [Lourdes] because she has great style," Madonna tells ET, adding that her daughter makes most of the decisions about the collection. "We rarely disagree when it comes to clothes, I have to say. That's why most of my closet is being raided on a regular basis."

More On The MDG Sunglasses Campaign!

Madonna isn’t just a friend, muse and model to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana; with new eyewear brand MDG she has become a fellow designer, ready to wow us with shades fit for a film noir screen siren, of which we exclusively reveal a few models.
Tne Internet has been buzzing with rumours of the various design projects taken on by Madonna herself and details on what is perhaps the most exciting line yet were officially announced by WWD earlier today.
Madonna caught in the act with a beautiful stranger – a familiar stranger who is none other than our dearest Tyson Ballou. The paparazzo for the occasion was Steven Klein no less, and lending him a hand was legendary art director Fabien Baron.
Reading the words of happy Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce one definitely understands why this was a match made in accessories heaven: “Designing an eyewear line with Madonna was a new experience for us. The oversized and wraparound designs are sexy and very feminine, like our clothes. Madonna’s creative contribution and unique point of view were key, even in designing the MDG logo.”
Not just another celebrity collaboration – MDG is a whole new brand with Madonna, Domenico and Stefano as colleagues on the design team. Just imagine a day in *that* office… So far six models have been designed

New collaboration between Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana…MDG is a new special collection of sunglasses for women, designed by Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana.The photoshoot by Steven Klein will be featured in the campaign, which will be out very soon and will carry on until February 2011.A TV ad might also be used (to be confirmed).

Madonna's Next Role: Fashion Designer!

From global pop sensation to high fashion model, is there anything Madonna can’t do? Apparently not. Joining forces with Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (the company behind such labels as Candie’s and Badgley Mischka), the Queen of Pop is set to take the fashion world by storm with the launch of her own style empire, called MG Icon. “Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me,” says Madonna in a press release. First up will be a junior collection, appropriately labeled Material Girl. Launching exclusively at Macy’s stores and in August 2010, Material Girl will include apparel, footwear, handbags and jewelry — all retailing from $12-$40. The collection was inspired and designed by both Madonna and her daughter Lourdes along with the in-house fashion team at Iconix Brand Group. And come 2011, Madonna plans to add beauty and fragrance options to her juniors line, so stay tuned for more details on Madonna’s growing fashion brand. News is just in that the episode of "The Marriage Ref" with Madonna, Ricky Gervais and Larry David will air on Thursday, March 11. The show aired a special sneak preview on Sunday night following the closing ceremony to the Winter Olympics, and will premieres in its regular Thursday night slot (10-11 p.m. ET) beginning tomorrow, Thursday, March 4. The Madonna episode will follow the next week.

Rumor: All Madonna GLEE EP!

When “Glee” returns in April, fans will have their first new episode in over four months, as well as a new “Glee” EP. “Glee: The Music – The Power of Madonna” features the “Glee” versions of the Madonna tracks featured on the special Madonna-themed episode.
According to, among the hits being performed on the soundtrack are some of Madonna’s greatest hits, like “Vogue,” “Express Yourself,” and “Like a Prayer.” Every track performed on the show’s April 20th episode, “The Power of Madonna,” comes from the pop superstar’s discography.
The EP will be released the week prior, when the show returns from its hiatus to Fox on April 13th. “Glee: The Music – The Power of Madonna” follows the successful “Glee: The Music” Volumes 1 and 2 soundtracks. A Volume 3 is expected to follow, which may feature some or all of the Madonna tracks.

Sticky and Sweet Tour DVD Release Update!

While Madonna’s ‘Sticky & Sweet’ Tour will hit worldwide stores on DVD, CD and Blu Ray March 30th, please note that it will be released just one week later in the US, on April 6th.
To coincide with this new release date, the VH1 broadcast of the show has been pushed to April 2nd. A chance for US fans to watch the show on TV four days before its domestic release.
